For the question: How to treat cervical spine osteochondrosis, there is an answer: influence the cause of this disease if you are not an acute period.
Medicine treats research - symptoms of the disease, not the cause.So do not expect doctors, do not throw money in vain about ointments, teas, injections, physical therapy, simulators, massage.None of the listed funds will help you.
Therefore, it is categorically to say that my personal experience in treating cervical osteochondrosis, which I will be happy to share, hoping that it will help one of you deal with this problem.
However, success in treatment will depend on various conditions:
- your desire to help yourself;
- Readiness to understand the true cause of cervical osteochondrosis;
- Compliance with the most rigorous self -discipline in treatment.
What do you need to know about cervical spine osteochondrosis
To answer the question:how to treat cervical spine osteochondrosis,It is necessary to understand the cause of the disease well.To understand, you will have to resort to the anatomy of the spine.
Our spine is a strong but flexible case for vital blood vessels and nerve trunks.Supporting the spine in good condition means not having health problems.
But by ignorance, or due to a frivolous attitude towards health from an early age, we carefully treat the spine: it will be overwhelmed, we take uncomfortable poses, sitting for hours on the computer or table during work sitting, we spend a lot of time driving a car in a tense, overweight state, incorrect post, etc.

The cervical spine is the most mobile.It consists of seven vertebrae, including elastic intervertebral discs.They are clearly visible in the figure.The discs make the column flexible and at the same time give strength.
Each intervertebral disc consists of a fibrous ring, within which there is a pulpae core.
In the cervical spine, the cerebrospinal nerve and the passage of the vertebral artery, which, through branched nerves and blood vessels, feed not only the head along with the brain, but also the organs of the shoulder waist.
Cervical osteochondrosis are changes in the intervertebral discs of the cervical spine as a result of physical, inflammatory or mental exposure.The elasticity and strength of the intervertebral discs decrease, while their height also decreases.
In the future, if you do not treat the disease, the fibrous ring of the intervertebral disc will be squeezed and deformed, which can lead to protrusion.In more severe cases, the fibrous ring of the disc break and the pulpitic nucleus projects in the form of a hernia while squeezing the emerging nerve endings of the vertebral holes as shown in the figure.
Therefore, the cause of cervical osteochondrosis is a change in intervertebral discs in the cervical spine against the bottom of the weak muscles.In addition, even slight muscle tension can lead to a displacement of the vertebrae as a result of which nerve endings are compacted and pain occurs.
But there are many factors, as a result of which there is a change in discs.This is a sedentary lifestyle, and a hereditary predisposition, metabolic disorders and injury, and the deposition of salts in the cervical spine and others.
How does cervical osteochondrosis manifest itself?All symptoms indicate that, as a result of changes in intervertebral discs, innervation and blood supply to the brain, head, neck and shoulder waist are impaired.Therefore, the symptoms of cervical osteochondrosis are headache on the back of the head and temples,Dizziness with a sharp curve of the head, noise in the ears, a decrease in visual acuity, hearing deterioration, neck pain, shoulders, scapa, hands, and sometimes in the heart.
If cervical osteochondrosis is not treated due to impaired brain circulation, diseases develop, such as migraine, hypertension, vegetable dystonia, hearing problems, eyes, coordination, with cardiovascular and respiratory systems.In advanced cases, ischemia and spill in the brain can develop.
Personal experience in the treatment of cervical osteochondrosis
The diagnosis is cervical osteochondrosis, I received a neuropathologist at 45.Having analyzed the x-ray image of my neck, he wrote on the card next to the diagnosis: the height of the discs between the C5-C6 and C6-C7 vertebrae was significantly reduced.I was tormented by frequent headaches, touching the ears, pain in the neck.
The question arose:How to treat cervical spine osteochondrosis.The doctor calmly "reassured me" that osteochondrosis is impossible to cure completely, as intervertebral discs were deformed.He prescribed me not cheap, at these prices, ointment and advised me to sit straight to the table.It was the 90s, I bought the ointment according to the revenue of a neuropathologist in some left pharmacy.But the ointment of relief did not bring, the pain poisoned my life.
On the recommendation of acquaintances, I returned to the services of a paid specialist in manual therapy with superior medical education.After he, having felt the cervical vertebrae, turned my head, seemed to be 180 degrees, became easy, illuminated and not painful.However, the procedure was clearly dangerous.The maneuver warned that for three days you need to sit directly to the table, not in a favorite pose.

I followed the recommendations for two days and then forgot.A few days later, my condition became the same as before visiting a doctor - a manualist.This experience told me how to treat cervical spine osteochondrosis.After reading all literature on osteochondrosis, I realized that I had to independently affect the cause of the disease.The doctors here are not assistants.It is impossible to change disc deformation, but you can stretch the cervical spine and thus reduce pressure on nerve endings and blood vessels.
In the house, we always had a horizontal bar in the morning, hanging from it, you have a good stretch of the entire column except the neck.I tried many ways to stretch my neck and developed my own system for the treatment of cervical osteochondrosis:
- Changed your posture.It was not easy and it didn't happen immediately, but self -discipline and motivation helped me feel healthy.Many times, I looked in the mirror in my posture, checked, coming close to the wall: my head should touch the wall, that is, to be on the same line with the heels.I always try to hold my head and straight shoulders.Today, when I'm 60, I have a better posture than twenty years ago.
- Daily, morning and night, I do the "Turtle" exercise of Tao's revitalization system.Sometimes I do this more often if you feel tensions or harden in the neck, upper back or shoulders.Turtle the turtle with the session as in the figure:
- Lower the chin on the chest, pulling your head on the back with your head.Inhale slowly.At this moment, the back of the neck extends and the shoulders fall;
- Exhale slowly, take the back of your head down, as if you want to touch them on the back of the neck.The chin extends, the throat extends slightly.The shoulders rise on both sides of the head, as if they were about to touch the ears;
- Repeat this cycle 10 to 12 times, trying to do everything slowly.
Turtle exercise contributes to the safe stretching of the cervical spine, strengthens the neck and shoulder muscles, eliminates fatigue, hardening and pain, improves metabolism and rejuvenates the body.
- In addition to the "turtle", I do an exercise to relax the whole shoulder waist, also sitting:
- Raise and lower your shoulders 10 times;Include your head slowly to the left - right 10 times for each shoulder;
- Include your head slowly forward - backwards 10 times;
- Include your head first to the right (the right ear on your right shoulder), then slowly, stretching your neck and throwing your head, rolling in your spine and left shoulder.After the left shoulder - to the right.Make 10 loopholes in each shoulder;
- Relax, straighten the spine again, balance the body weight in the scene and start to make circular movements slowly with a trunk from left to right and then 10 times from right to left.At the same time, the head, shoulders, hands are relaxed in rotation.
This exercise, besides relaxation, arouses the healing forces of the body, normalizing the energy nutrition of all cells and organs.
- When I work on the computer for a long time, I put a collar (it can be bought in a pharmacy).I am not sitting on it for a long time, one or two hours.This allows you to keep your head straight.
- If I noticed that, from a clumsy pose, for example, sitting on TV or working in the country, I had a touch of the ears or headache, I immediately relax (as read here), after which I exercise the turtle.Calls and pain pass within 5 to 10 minutes.

Relaxation and stretching of the neck and shoulder waist muscles should become part of your daily life, so you will feel great, having a diagnosis as cervical osteochondrosis.
Before you start exercises, consult your doctor.
Here, I want to note that this treatment of the disease is possible outside the exacerbation.If you have an acute period of cervical osteochondrosis with violation of hypothermia nerves or any infection, consult a doctor and take the prescribed block, injections, etc.Once exacerbation passes, you can apply my method.
You are also a note: you can relax your neck muscles taking a hot shower around your neck or being caught in the bath.
Take a mobile lifestyle, but avoid sharp curves of the head, heavy load, since the shoulder muscles are tense, whose spasm will change the vertebrae and violate the nerves' roots and blood vessels in the neck.
Sleep in a small pillow, usually in fresh air, changes from negative to positive thoughts so that their tensions do not stress the cervical and shoulder zones and do not exacerbate the symptoms of osteochondrosis.

Adhere to proper nutrition.Delete sugar and white bread, bakery products from your diet.Eat more vegetables, fruits and grains.
Now, I hope you understand how to treat cervical spine osteochondrosis.
Trust yourself and live without pain with your cervical osteochondrosis!
